Adding time or attempts for an individual student in Canvas Quizzes

Go to Quizzes in the Navigation bar on the left.

Select the quiz where the student requires additional time.

Click on Moderate This Quiz.

On the ‘Moderate Quiz’ page, click on the pencil icon next to the name of the student who needs additional time or attempts.

In the window that opens, add the number of additional minutes allowed to the student and click
For instance, if a student is allowed time and a half on a 180 – minute exam, you would enter 90 minutes in the “Extra time on every attempt” space.

Please note that this must be done for each quiz where an individual requires additional time or attempts.
